Sailing Stones
So named because they move across the desert and leave long paths behind them. For a long time, nothing was known of how the large stones—sometimes up to 700 lbs!—moved.
Only VERY recently was it discovered that they are dragged by sheets of ice which form and disappear after rainstorms. Nature continues to amaze me.
I was watching Monsters Inc. the other day and decided that it has the best opening credits ever. I love Disney/Pixar.
